Uluru Sunrise and Kata Tjuta from Ayers Rock $125

Ayers Rock Tour Itinerary

Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock) is one of Australia’s most prominent landmarks. The surrounding Kata Tjuta National Park is filled with exceptional scenery, and on our Uluru Sunrise And Sacred Sites From Ayers Rock Day Tours, you can get up close and personal with everything on offer.

We’ll start the tour by heading into the stunning scenery of the Kata Tjuta National Park, where you can catch a glimpse of Uluru in the distance. We’ll head straight for Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, the Uluru sunrise viewing area where you’ll settle in for the main performance of the day.

When translated, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku means “to look from the sand dunes”, and you’ll have the chance to look out over the breath-taking views of the dunes and red desert landscape that sprawls out in every direction. As the sun begins to rise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta, you’ll get to witness the rugged landscape change from gold, to red, to orange in a majestic display of colour. There will be plenty of photo opportunities at this point, so don’t forget your camera! During the show, you’ll get to warm up with a coffee before we move on to the next part of the tour.

As we head around Uluru, your experienced guide will offer nuggets of information about the monoliths that characterise the area, as well as a potted history of Uluru and the Kata Tjuta National Park. Spanning back 22,000 years, there’s a lot of history to cover, so prepare to soak up a wealth of knowledge.

About 40km away from Uluru, we’ll stop off at a designated viewing point where you can catch a glimpse of the Olgas (Kata Tjuta) and the other landmarks that are dotted around.

To finish, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the Walpa Gorge. This incredible windy gorge is a haven of lush desert scenery and an oasis for native plants and animals. Here, you’ll get to wander along the rocky track, spotting rare flora and fauna as you go. We’ll walk for around one hour, where your guide will share stories of the local life and inform you about the fascinating geology of the region.

Afterwards, it’s time to say goodbye to the beautiful scenery of the Kata Tjuta National Park. As we leave, you’ll get one last glimpse of the stunning landscape and Uluru as it fades into the distance.

Ayers Rock Tours takes you to the splendour of the outback to find your spiritual side at the majestic Uluru. Book your tour today!
