2 Day Uluru Tour from Alice Springs Itinerary
Day 1: Uluru Base Walk and Uluru Sunset (Lunch & Dinner)
Our day begins bright and early, picking you up from your Alice Springs accommodation before heading towards Uluru. Along the way, we’ll stop at Mt Connor lookout for a stunning view. We’ll then continue to our campground for lunch, where we’ll enjoy a hearty meal. Our next stop is the Aboriginal Cultural Centre, where you’ll learn about the captivating spirituality of the Dreamtime. Following this, we’ll embark on the Uluru Base Walk, which takes us through several sites of religious significance, including Kantju Gorge, Mutijulu Waterhole, and ancient Aboriginal cave paintings.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll take a guided tour of the Mala Walk, exploring ancient caves and admiring the remarkable rock art on the walls. After dinner, we’ll head to the Ayers Rock Campground, where you can enjoy a hot shower before settling down for the night in your swag or tent.
Day 2: Uluru Sunrise & Kata Tjuta (Breakfast, Lunch)
We’ll rise just before dawn to head to the Uluru and Kata Tjuta viewing area, where you’ll witness the spectacular orange and purple sunrise. Next, we’ll visit the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta. Here, your professional guide will explain bush tucker and the ancient rock formations that have been around for millions of years.
As our journey concludes, we’ll drive back to Yulara.
Uluru is a truly magnificent landmark, and this two-day tour offers a fantastic way to explore the Red Centre of Australia and its most famous monument.
