3 Day Uluru & Kings Canyon Premium Camping Tour Itinerary
Day One (lunch* & dinner)
Alice Springs acts as the springboard for a phenomenal Uluru 3 Day Tour taking in the iconic landscapes of Australia’s Red Centre. Day 1 sees you travel towards what’s probably the world’s most famous outcrop – Uluru (Ayers Rock). The day begins with views across the desert from Mount Conner. Sometimes known as False Uluru for tricking unwary travellers, it sits within Curtin Springs cattle station.
The Red Centre’s indigenous interpretive cultural centre gives the lowdown on the geology, ecology and significance of Uluru to the region’s Aboriginal people. Uncover the fascinating stories further at the prehistoric rock art sites around the base of Uluru.
The journey then continues to Kantju Gorge for a look at the highest waterfall in Central Australia. We finish off the day with a magical sunset over Uluru. The changing desert colours will just blow you away!
Day Two (breakfast, lunch & dinner)
Having woken early enough to enjoy the sunrise within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, you’ll be whisked away to the Kata Tjuta themselves. Still commonly known as the Olgas, these rocky domed formations are another unmissable Red Centre highlight. To see them at their very best, you’ll hike to the Valley of the Winds or to Walpa Gorge, with their multi-hour trails offering unrivalled views of the region.
In the afternoon we travel westward to Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon), a road journey that quickly envelopes you in unforgettable outback landscapes. Enjoy an authentic campfire dinner followed by stargazing like you’ve never experienced before.
Day Three (breakfast & lunch)
The final morning is spent exploring Kings Canyon on foot, with your guide pointing out the native species of flora and fauna you’re likely to encounter in this mix of soaring natural walls, pockets of forest and sparkling waterholes. The tour wraps up with a final journey through the desert to Alice Springs.
